The AU$60 million Cell Therapy Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (CTM CRC) opened in Adelaide in December 2013. Headquartered at Mawson Lakes in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, the CTM CRC is unique in Australia. It focusses on developing cell therapy manufacturing techniques, to be rapidly developed to commercial-scale development.

The CTM CRC’s research and development partners include Terumo BCT, TekCyte, Next Cell, the University of South Australia, Queensland University of Technology, Royal Adelaide Hospital, SA Pathology, Medvet, the University of Sydney, and the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.

Its purpose-built clean room facilities at Mawson Lakes are vital infrastructure for developing a cell manufacturing hub for the Asia-Pacific region.
