TechInSA is a state government agency working with the hi-tech sector to bring innovative products and technologies to global markets. TechInSA offers early stage companies support through access to funding (including grants), business and marketing assistance, and lab and office space.
Since 2001, TechInSA has helped form a high-tech precinct based at Thebarton. The Thebarton Technology Precinct hosts the TechInSA Business Incubator, TechInSA Tech Hub and over 80 high-tech companies including ASX-listed organisations. This commercial technology cluster is one of the largest of its type in Australia.
Housing seven tenants the TechInSA Business Incubator offers shared facilities and customised office and lab space for start-up and small companies.
The Tech Hub business facility provides more established companies and SMEs customised office and lab space helping to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration between tenants. Between the two facilities over 170 FTEs are housed.
